Liquid & Taste Analysis
Electronic Tongue
analyzer
|
The Electronic Tongue analyzer is designed for detection, measurement and recognition of chemical compounds responsible for taste in liquids. It performs a global analysis of compounds to give a chemical and taste profile of the product. In the pharmaceutical industry, two complementary solutions are proposed for bitterness level quantification and solid form dynamic analysis.
Applications
Associated with powerful software, these analyzers provide decision tools for R&D, formulation and product development. Learn more >>
Advantages
- Objective and reliable measurement
- No safety issues
- Fast delivery of results
- Very sensitive techniques
Bitterness Quantification
The Alpha MOS laboratory proposes analytical services to assess the bitterness level of substances dissolved in a liquid solution.
Applications
The bitterness prediction module from Alpha MOS can evaluate the bitterness level of new chemical entities or active principles in pharmaceutical formulations.
Advantages
- Avoid safety concerns linked to human testing
- Avoid unpleasant testing of bitter substances
Solid Form Dynamic Analysis
The taste analyzer can be combined with the Solid Form Dynamic Analyzer (S-FDA) to measure dynamically the taste of solid form drugs during their dissolution phase.
Applications
Especially in the pharmaceutical industry:
- Simulation of buccal dissolution mecanism
- Simulation of tablet coating dissolution
- Checking effectiveness & homogeneity of the coating when dissolving
Advantages
- Automated measurement method
- Avoid unpleasant and hazardous human testing.
